The Missouri legislature authorized the Helping Schools personalized license plate as a way to benefit elementary and secondary schools in Missouri. Participating organizations receive $15 per year from the applicant for each personalized plate. Applicants also pay $15 per year to the Missouri Department of Revenue when requesting and renewing their Helping Schools license plates. If applying for a biennial (two-year) registration, the minimum contribution is $30.
You can obtain a Helping Schools license plate and benefit this Foundation
1. Make a contribution to the Sedalia School District Foundation either by mailing a $15 donation check for annual or $30 for biennial registration with Helping Schools in the memo line to PO Box 2505, Sedalia MO 65302 or make a donation at our website using the Donate button. Type in Helping Schools License Plate at “Add special Instructions to the seller,” also check the box to share your mailing address with the Sedalia School District Foundation.
2. The Foundation will issue an emblem-use authorization form. This form will be signed by a representative of the Foundation and is the receipt you must have to obtain the license plate.
3. Complete the Application for Missouri Personalized and Special License Plates, Form 1716. Submit the completed 1716 form, the emblem-use form, and the state fee of $15 per year to the Department of Revenue at your local license office.
4. You will be notified by mail when your plates are available at your local license office.
